how does Juvéderm® treatment work?
JUVÉDERM injections take place directly inside our New York City dental practice. During your appointment, Dr. Kasarsky will mark the areas to be injected and will clean the injection sites thoroughly. A numbing ointment will be applied that will need to sit for a few minutes, which will help reduce any discomfort during the procedure. Once the areas become slightly numb, the filler will be injected directly into the skin through a very fine needle. A very light cold compress will be applied after each injection. Patients are generally able to return to normal activities the same day, although there may be slight redness and swelling for a couple of hours following treatment.
What results can i Expect with Juvéderm®?
Patients who receive JUVÉDERM injections usually see the results of their treatment almost immediately. The skin will appear fuller and softer, with a significant decrease in lines and wrinkles on the skin's surface. Results from a JUVÉDERM treatment typically last up to a full year. It is recommended that patients avoid exercise for about 24 hours and to sleep upright the first night following treatment.
